Events Summary

UBC hosts events for all students to learn about the resources at Foster and get involved with the larger community! Signature events hosted by UBC include:

Week of Welcome (WOW), a week welcoming students back to school and introducing the community and multitude of opportunities at Foster. This exciting week is filled with career events to build and prepare professional skills for recruitment, UDS events focused on empowering underrepresented minorities, an RSO fair to help students find their own community, speed networking for Freshmen Direct students with EY, and much more!

Service Month in February, a month dedicated to community service. The purpose is to involve faculty, staff, and students in participating in a range of events giving back to our community. Examples of previous events are volunteering at Merrill Gardens (senior retirement home) and packing school supply bags for underprivileged students.

Business Month, a month during spring quarter to involve current business students and welcome new Foster students. Events in the past include networking workshops and panels, exciting games and challenges, destressing with dogs, and a RSO club fair.

Spotlight Dinner, an evening celebrating and recognizing RSOs, faculty, staff, students, and others for their exceptional work and contributions to the Foster community throughout the year. Attendees can enjoy delicious food, win raffle prizes, and reunite with fellow students, professors, and staff.
